Why Ventos

What if eating well didn't mean farting more

Our goal is Zen Digestion for everyone: enjoying a varied, plant-rich diet with less unwanted gas. It starts with understanding the patterns we haven’t been able to measure.

Foundational

We believe understanding your gut starts with better information

What happens in your gut can shape your day: what you eat, how you plan, and how comfortable you feel.

How gassy you feel matters. Ventos adds a different kind of information: hydrogen-containing gas events recorded as you go about your life. Together, your recordings and your experience give us more to learn from.

Personal, continuous, curious

We believe everyday patterns deserve a closer look

Your gut has its own rhythm. Ventos records through the day and keeps recording while you sleep.

Your personal gas profile brings together event counts, hydrogen signal patterns, and how you reported feeling. In the Zen Digester Study, a Tiny Health microbiome test adds information about the microbes present and what they may be capable of doing.

Confidence

We believe people should live with confidence in their own bodies

Seeing your patterns can give you a new perspective. How you feel matters, whatever the recording shows.

In the Human Flatus Atlas, we observed people who eat a varied, plant-rich diet and fart little. We call them Zen Digesters. Now we’re working with Tiny Health to explore what makes those patterns possible.

We want to help people enjoy more of the foods they want to eat. The study is a step toward understanding that goal, not proof that Ventos improves food tolerance or treats symptoms.

Know what you’re measuring

  • What Ventos adds

    • A wearable that records hydrogen in released intestinal gas
    • Daytime and overnight gas patterns
    • A gas profile alongside your reported experience
    • A distinct measurement to explore with microbiome test results
  • What the measurement means

    • It detects hydrogen-containing gas events, not every type of gas
    • It does not measure odor or identify microbial species
    • It does not measure all gas produced or retained inside your gut
    • It is for research and general wellness, not diagnosis or treatment
